• Updated Website

    Hi all!

I have updated the website with a new look and some new, more recent images!

I have been working on starting a separate travel and lifestyle blog as well. The link is in the sidebar, or you can visit www.kdwanderingclouds.com. I look forward to any feedback on that site as it is my new project. First-time blogger, here! :)

I hope you like the new look of my site here and check out my other site. I look forward to adding new images and to working on some new things!

  • 'On This Day' Images are Up!

My last ever semester is coming to an end, but that isn't an end to my big project on mass-shooting sites! If you haven't been able to see the images in person, I just uploaded some of the ones I have photographed so far! Just go over to my projects and find On This Day! It may not seem like that many right now, but I still have over 50 sites to photograph! Hopefully, no more are added to my list anytime soon. The list seems to forever be growing, but I hope this project sparks some sort of change in how we view these mass-shootings and how we react to trying to stop them. If only another mass-shooting happening wasn't the only time we talked about these consequences and what needed to be changed. If we change things now, we can prevent more innocent lives from being taken!

Enjoy the photos and thanks for the support! :)

  • BFA Photography Show 'Residue'

The Fall 2016 UWM Photography Seniors had their BFA Photography show, Residue, last night! My photo series thesis, On This Day, was one of the works featured. Everyone worked really hard on all of their projects, including myself, and I am proud of all of us for getting the show together and sharing our voices with the world! If you were able to make it to the show, I'm glad and I hope you enjoyed! If you weren't able to, it is up through the 27th of November. Let me know if you want to see it, and I can try to arrange a showing!

Otherwise, thank you to everyone for their support on my project! All of you have made this project possible! Keep sharing it!

Remember to share my donation page too, to help me travel and create a book! Any help is good help :)

  • SPE Midwest Talk About 'On This Day'

Today I had my first-ever speech outside of school at the Midwest Society of Photographic Education (SPE) conference in St. Louis! I was nervous, but clearly survived! I think it went really well for a first speech, but of course there is room for improvement. No one left the room and I got some questions at the end, at least! :D I'm hoping there are more speeches about this project to come, as I feel spreading the word about it in any way would be very helpful to our country and society.

That being said, another plug for my fundraiser to help me travel to the rest of the sites! Any donation is greatly appreciated :)

    Thanks for all the support!
